Instructions for Presenters

Oral Presentations  
 
Equipment:
Each room will have an overhead projector, an LCD projector with a laptop computer provided by the conference. Presenters who plan on using the LCD projector must load their presentations on the conference computer by either CD ROM or USB memory stick. There will be no 35 mm slide projectors or VCRs in the rooms.
 
 
Time Slots:
  • Plenary: 45 minutes total (40 min. presentation, 5 min. questions)
  • Tutorial: 45 minutes total (35-40 min. presentation, 5-10 min. questions)
  • Invited: 30 minutes total (25 min. presentation, 5 min. questions)
  • Contributed ACCGE talks are 15 minutes total (12 min. presentation, 3 min. questions)
  • Contributed joint ACCGE/OMVPE talks are 15 minutes total (12 min. presentation, 3 min. questions)
  • Contributed OMVPE talks are 20 minutes including questions
 
 
Check-in with session chair:
Please check in with your session chair at least 15 minutes before the session begins in order to load your presentation on the conference laptop. Time lost due to non-functioning Powerpoint or other computer graphics presentations will be deducted from the speakers allotted presentation time.
 
 
Poster Presentations  
 
  • All poster presentations will be in the Mammoth Room
  • ACCGE Poster session I: You may put up your poster anytime Monday or Tuesday morning, your poster must be setup by 12:00 noon on Tuesday. Please remove your poster at the end of the poster session. Late news posters will be held in the same room and time slot.
  • ACCGE Poster session II and OMVPE posters: Please put up your posters on Wednesday Morning, no later than 12:00 noon. Posters must be removed before noon on Thursday. Late news posters will be in the same room and time slot.
  • Please be at your poster to answer any questions during the scheduled poster session.
  • Poster area is 1.13 m (44 in.) tall by 1.77 m (69 in.) wide. Please be sure that your poster will fit in this space. Bring the final copy of your poster to the meeting. There are no facilities to prepare posters on site.
  • Individual poster boards will be identified with poster numbers. Check the list in the room to determine the number of your poster. Please mount your poster in the correct space.
