| This year we are introducing a new format with greater
visibility for the photo contest. The photos will be
displayed before each session as a slide show. In addition,
submitted photographs will be displayed in a prominent
location at the meeting, affording an opportunity to
publicize the unique qualities of your work. To participate,
submit photographs portraying scientific, technical or
artistic aspects of crystals, crystal growth or
characterization. Photographs illustrating how not to grow
crystals will also be accepted. Conference attendees will
vote on the technical content, technical presentation, and
aesthetic appeal of each entry. |
| Awards |
| Winners will be announced during the conference
banquet. Prizes will be given to the winner
and to the best student entry, and the first
and second runners up will receive awards.
The winning photos will be published in the
AACG Newsletter, if the format allows. In addition,
a photo from the contest could be selected to appear
on the cover of Crystal Growth & Design in 2006. |
