Facilities and Accommodations

All conference functions including the technical sessions, poster displays and industrial exhibits will be held at the facilities of Keystone Resort and Conference Center, Keystone, Colorado. Keystone, Colorado is located 90 minutes west of Denver and is surrounded by the Colorado Rocky Mountains and thousands of acres of national forest. Keystone Resort offers over 30 dining options from casual to unique and gourmet and has over 1,600 lodging units offering condominium suites to hotels. No need to have your own personal transportation as Keystone provides complimentary in-resort transportation and activities and shops are within walking distance. Summer activities include 36 holes of scenic, championship mountain golf, fishing, indoor/outdoor tennis, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and paddle boats on Keystone lake to name a few.

The Keystone resort is at an elevation of 9300 ft. The weather in Keystone during July is usually moderate with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the 40s. A light jacket or sweater is recommended for the evenings and sunscreen for the days. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible. Occasionally it can get fairly cold in Keystone during the summer, so it may be a good idea to check the forecast before you pack. A block of rooms has been reserved in the Inn at Keystone, Keystone Lodge, Conference Village, and River Run at a special conference rate of:

  • $147/night + tax (Single/Double)
  • $100/night to 109/night + tax (Students)
  • $15/night + tax (Additional Adults)

Children under 18 can stay free with an adult. All rooms are spacious with oversize bathtubs and many other amenities. Parking is free. A 4.7% surcharge, in addition to applicable state and local taxes, will be added to the above rates. Total of surcharge and taxes is currently 10.35%.

For individuals wishing to extend their stay, these rates will be honored three days prior and three days after the official conference dates, subject to and limited by space availability.

Reservations will be accepted until June 6, 2003. A first and last night's deposit in the form of either a check or credit card number is due within 7 days of the date the reservation is made.

Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

CANCELLATIONS - Individual guest cancellations within 30 days of arrival are subject to forfeiture of full deposit amount. Cancellations outside 30 days of arrival will result in return of deposit less a $25.00 processing fee.
