The Seattle/Tacoma airport is located about 15 miles south of the downtown area. Most major airlines serve this airport. The conference hotel is right downtown within easy walking distance to many attractions.

Seattle is a walking city; a car is not necessary for sightseeing around Seattle. Parking at the WestCoast Grand Hotel is an astronomical $17.00 / night. To encourage tourism, free shuttle busses operate throughout the downtown area surrounding the conference hotel between 6 AM and 11 PM. A monorail station is located 2 blocks from the conference hotel, the Space Needle and Seattle center are a 95 second ride away.

If you are arriving by air, an easy alternative to a rental car is to take a shuttle, bus or cab from the airport to the conference hotel.

Airport Express provides airport shuttle service. When arriving Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, claim your luggage and proceed outside either door 8 or 26 where Airport Express booths can be located. Booth hours are 8:00 am - 6:00 pm (after hours tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver). Cost is $8.50 one-way; $14.00 roundtrip. Buses run every ½ hour from 5:40 am - 11:40 pm. Grey Line Airport Express (206-626-6088) operates between Seattle Tacoma airport and the downtown hotels every 30-45 minutes, the fare is currently $8.50 each way. 

Several cab companies operate between the airport and downtown, typical fares range from $25-$30 each way.
