The ACCGE-13 Photography Contest will be held during the conference and submitted photographs will be displayed in a prominent location at the meeting.
Participants are invited to submit photographs that portray scientific, technical and artistic aspects of crystals, crystal growth, or characterization. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place, best student entry, and awards committee favorite entry. Winners will be announced at the conference banquet and will receive ribbons and plaques. In addition, the best student entry will receive $50. If the format allows, the winning photos will be published in the AACG Newsletter. Previous entries are not acceptable. Entries should be mounted on a stiff backing and should be no larger than 20 by 25 cm (8 by 10 in.). Entries should be clearly labeled with the following information: a concise title, submitter’s name and affiliation, and an optional 25 to 75 word description of the technical significance of the entry. Submissions for the student category should be clearly labeled as such. The photos can be picked up at the end of the conference. Please email an electronic version (preferably jpeg with approximately 1 MB file size) to either Glen or Lara by July 15, 2001. Bring the mounted photo to the conference for display.
