Exciting opportunity with a startup company that is doing single
crystal silicon growth for solar applications. Company is funded,
and has a unique business model that has put it on a fast track to
success. We are looking for a Sr Mechanical Engineer who will work
from design phase through start up and plant personnel training in
new “grass root facilities”. Work will start in Phoenix, migrate
to the Northeast US area and then to Korea for start up. We are
working as a virtual team at this point, so relocation is not a
requirement. You must be willing to travel as the company develops.
Once a manufacturing site has been chosen and we are in production,
relocation may be a consideration. Don’t let that get in the way
of considering this position, if you have the qualifications. This is

opportunity, most things can be worked out.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- BSME or higher degree
- 5 to 10 years applied experience in CZ crystal growing furnace
and hot zone design, including integration in a production environment
- Experience with fabrication techniques and tolerances for weldments,
machined parts and control system/sensor integration.
- Working knowledge of Solid-Works to produce concept through
fabrication drawings
- Familiar with refractory materials; graphite, quartz, Silicon
Carbide, Moly used in high purity processes
- Capability of fast track collaborative affiliations with
established equipment builders as well as new plant production groups
- Vacuum furnace technology
- Practical skills in radiant and convective heat transfer, fluid
flow and strength of materials
- ASME Code experience
