- Reports to:
- CEO
- Position Summary:
- Lead the Crystal Growth Engineering Department (5-10 people).
Solve engineering issues related to high temperature furnaces,
crystal growth, crystal quality and size expansion in diameter
and length. Work with Manufacturing Department to enhance the
yield and reduce cycle time and improve overall productivity.
Work with CTO for near term technology development and fulfill
government contracts. Develop substrates for high power, high
temperature, and optoelectronic devices. Evaluate, recruit,
motivate and mentor a growing world-class engineering team.
- Experience:
- Experience with High Bandgap or high temperature (>2000 C) crystal
growth (AlN, SiC, GaN, Sapphire, etc.). More than 10 years relevant
industry experience is preferred. Five years experience, in addition
to academics, is required. More than five years experience in
engineering management and leadership is required. Must be able to
thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment. Ph.D. in
material science, physics, or engineering (EE, ME, IE, etc.) is
preferred, MS is required. You do not need to be a Vice President
currently.
