Overview
GT Solar Incorporated is currently seeking a Trainer/Process Engineer.
This person will utilize process engineering and other technical expertise
to evaluate, design and implement training projects which support existing
or new customer facilities. The ideal candidate will provide technical
training to GT Solar’s internal and external customers. International
travel will be required for this role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Designs and implements training
projects: process development, process design, start-up, etc. of new
and existing equipment.
- Provides training on plant
support and troubleshooting, as directed.
- Must have strong written
communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel
programs, and ability to write in user friendly terms and specific details.
- Experience with continuous
processes involving distillation, extraction, reactors, heat exchangers,
boilers, compressors, etc.
- Must be able to assist in
the creation and maintain complex documentation sets, involving highly
technical material, for training purposes under limited supervision.
- Help to identify and implement
standards and process improvements in training approach and material.
- Perform simultaneous task
and project coordination for multiple projects.
- Knowledge of aspects of
capital projects, project management and planning skills to speak and
train effectively.
- Work with editors and technical
resources to improve training processes and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently
with limited supervision.

Requirements
- An engineering degree required,
with a materials background preferred.
- Experience in process design,
process optimization and or production support.
- Well-developed interpersonal
and communication skills, and ability to manage conflict in a stressful
environment.
- Strong communication skills
across multi-lingual and multi-cultural lines.
- Excellent analytical, organizational,
planning and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable in a manufacturing
environment.
- Minimum of 7 years of applicable
experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
