Description

Candidates must have subject matter expertise & P&L experience with Electro-Optics, Bulk crystal growth, CO2 laser system and or Infrared Optics. This is a highly technical President & COO position where as the subject matter expertise, knowledge base in physics and engineered materials is a must have to be an effective leader as President & COO.

Responsible for the profit and loss of this $140 million dollar division. Develop basic goals, operating plans, and policies for the IR Optics division and obtains COO approval. Directs the division marketing, engineering and operations to achieve planned cash flow, EBIDTA, EPS and return on invested capital. Directs and coordinates the activities of each (3) site and department within the division of attained business objectives. By excerting personal leadership assures that the values of the corporation are upheld, and serving all the major constituencies of the division. Direct reports includes 6 to 8 VP's and 1000 World Wide employees. Candidate must have 10 to 15 years direct subject matter expertise and global knowledge base experience with IR Optic materials and or CO-2 lasers applications and systems. Responsible for Division sales of $140M to $150M, the associated budget, after tax ROS of 25%, EBITDA margin of 35% and annual growth of 12% to 15%. Requirements

M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Materials with MBA or Equivalant. Ten (10) to Fifthteen (15) years experience in progressively more responsible management positions in a manufacturing company. Five years experience as a General Manager of a small (40M) to medium-sized profitable division of a corporation or standalone business. Strong organizational, technical, human resource management and planning skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate people. Experience directing offshore manufacturing facilities. International Sales experience; understands other cultures and their sales and business norms.
