Our client is a growing solar manufacturing company. They are seeking a Director – Silicon Casting and Wafering Technology. Responsibilities: Develop advanced crystal growth and wafering technology to decrease the Silicon grams/watt Process control of the crystal growth - multi and mono and wafering lines. Interact with the capacity expansion team to ensure the manufacturing processes are based state of the art technology Actively involved in the safety and technical review of the expansion projects. Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in crystal growth and wafering technology development. Well conversant with casting and single crystal growth techniques, manufacturing processes and equipment, thin wafering concepts. Proven experience in leading a team of technologists and working with cross functional teams. Conversant with thermal modelling, defects in silicon, characterization and the impact on the device performance The candidate should have an advanced degree in engineering or materials science At least 10 years of experience in crystalline silicon area Good communication skills in English, written and oral.
