- Job Description:
- This function is primarily focused on growth of sapphire and
other compound single crystals. Rubicon uses a modified form of
Kyropolous technique for manufacturing our superior sapphire single
crystals. Relevant experience in bulk crystal growth techniques such
as EFG, HDSM, or Czochralski is therefore required.
- Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design, maintain, and operate crystal growth equipment.
- Optimize crystal growth process for quality, yield, and
throughput improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and technology.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Graduate degree in materials science, chemistry, or physics.
- Hands on experience in bulk crystal growth techniques.
- Hands on experience in growth apparatus design and construction.
- Familiar with metrology tools – XRD, optical interferometry, AFM.
- Knowledge of statistical methods for process characterization.
- Provide consultation to other departments and customers, as needed.
