- Job Description
- This function is primarily focused on growth of sapphire and
other compound single crystals. Rubicon uses a modified form of
Kyropolous technique for manufacturing our superior sapphire single
crystals. Relevant experience in bulk crystal growth techniques is
therefore required.
- Duties and Responsibilities
-
- Design, maintain, and operate crystal growth equipment.
- Optimize crystal growth process.
- Stay current with industry trends and information gathering.
- Research collaboration with educational and government
institutions.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
-
- Graduate degree in materials science, chemistry, or physics.
Ph.D. a strong plus.
- Hands on experience in bulk crystal growth techniques.
- Hands on experience in growth apparatus design and
construction.
- Understanding of chemical, mechanical, and crystallographic
nature of materials.
- Familiar with metrology tools – XRD, optical
interferometry, AFM, SIMS
- Knowledge of statistical methods for process
characterization.
